“Collaboration Bootcamp”
Collaboration is the new competition!
How to create & sustain healthy research alliances , partnerships, and collaborations
This is relevant to: Researchers, administrators and managers involved with the establishment and management of research collaborations.
Collaboration is a means to an end, not an end in itself. It is always important to focus on what the ‘end’ is, because that will drive the rationale to collaborate.
Collaboration is a broad term. For the purposes of this workshop, three forms of collaboration are distinguished, in order of increasing depths of relational intimacy:
-
· Communication
-
· Coordination
-
· Co-investment
Each of these options will involve progressively greater amounts of transaction costs and resource commitment to maintain the relationships necessary to facilitate an effective partnership.
Participants will be given the opportunity for first hand experience at using tools that will help you strike better collaborative agreements, diagnose the cause of existing problems, and screen potential opportunities for optimum outcomes.
Who is the Collaboration Bootcamp for?
